The fun and games of the NRL Nines started before a ball could even be kicked, with the New Zealand Warrriors women’s side forgetting their jerseys at the hotel.
The women were set to face the Sydney Roosters in the first match of the weekend, but moments before kick off realised that they didn’t have their playing kits.
And in a stunning turn of events, the ladies quickly had to chuck on the men’s gear in order to take the field.
The match would end in an 8-all draw after the 18 minutes of allotted time.
Twitter obviously had plenty of fun with the comical incident.

The ladies did their best to overcome the early mishap, but couldn’t be split with the Chooks.
In the first men’s game, the Panthers thrashed the Roosters 35-0 to put the competiton on notice.
