Didi Louzada intends to sign a “draft and stash” deal with the Sydney Kings.
A draft and stash deal allows the Pelicans to retain the rights to Louzada while he plays overseas with the Kings. Once he and the NBA team believe he is ready, Louzada can rejoin the NBA squad.
Louzada is a 6’5, 20-year old shooting guard from Brazil. He spent his last two seasons playing for Franca Basquetebol Club of the NBB (Novo Basquete Brasil).
After bumping up his scoring average from 3.3 points per game in 2017-18 to 9.3 points per game last season, Louzada was named an NBB All-Star, 2019 NBB Most Improved Player and the 2019 NBB Relevation Player – the award given to the player that is considered the greatest discovery of the season.
He joins a Syndey Kings squad that finished 18-10, tied for first place in the 2018-19 regular season in the NBL.
